9.2 Beeld en geluid

Bij filmer Johan Edelhausen (www.ww2vehiclesvideos.nl) zijn onder meer een tweetal GMC video’s (met geluid!) te bestellen, onder de titel ‘GMC Adventures’ en 'GMC Special'. Ze bestaan grotendeels uit opnamen tijdens recente off-the-road evenementen maar bevatten ook enkele historische opnames. Een voorproefje van recente opnames van Johan vind u op de pagina 'Niet te laat!' binnen deze site.

Bij Discovery Channel wordt met enige regelmaat een documentaire herhaald onder de titel ‘Machines that won the war’. Eén van de vijf hierin figurerende machines is de GMC. Leuke interviews met oud-chauffeurs. Een selectie hieruit kan hier bekeken worden.

9.3 Musea

Hét museum om vele GMC’s in nieuwstaat te bewonderen is het George Marshall Museum, sinsds 2006 onderdeel van het Oorlogs- en Verzetsmuseum in Overloon, Noord Brabant (www.oorlogsmuseum.nl). Let op: op dit moment (mei 2007) is vanwege een bestuurlijk conflict onzeker of deze fantastische collectie in Overloon blijft, dus controleer even als u een bezoek plant.
